To be fair to Pete, Paul T had both erielack_@_lists.railfan.net and
erielack_@_lists.elhts.org in his earlier reply. I don't know why some mailers
keep stacking up the list addresses, but it's obnoxious.
Please do not send listmail to both erielack_@_lists.railfan.net and
erielack_@_lists.elhts.org as they both go to the same place.
erielack_@_lists.railfan.net is the OFFICIAL list address and the only one that
should be used from now on. Please check the To: and Cc: fields of your email
and remove any extra erielack list addresses so we all don't get two or more
copies of it.
Please change any instances of erielack_@_lists.elhts.org to
erielack_@_lists.railfan.net in your addressbooks as we can't guarantee
how long the old @lists.elhts.org address will continue to work.
Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to urge those of you who
have not already configured your mailers to email this list with plain text
only, to do so now. Please visit http://expita.com/nomime.html#programs for
help on how to do this. We're a plain text list because not everyone uses
HTML or rich text aware email programs and that makes HTML or rich text super
obnoxious to try to read.
Lately Hotmail posters have been especially frustrating as for some reason,
only known to micro$oft, the plain text part of hotmail emails comes through
all garbled up when quoting previous emails. We're not doing that here, the
text/plain MIME part of their Multipart/Alternative email comes to us that
way. I don't have a hotmail account so I can't fiddle with their settings to
see if it possible to fix that and it is not practical for me to try to
un-garble it on this end.
Thanks for reading,
Henry
