Re: (erielack) Coal, Iron Ore and Steel



Thanks Tim.  I didn't know the details on the other GPC shipments.  Good 
info.

When I said "remnants of the EL Salamanca Yard"  I meant what was left of 
the yard.  A lot of the yard was pulled up after diesels took over from 
steam and traffic from the Dunkirk Branch and the Bradford Division began to 
dry up.

I have been thinking a lot lately on when we used to go train watching over 
to Silver Creek.  Those were good times.  I haven't been an active railfan 
in years.  Even if I had the time I just can't get excited over today's 
diesels and the small number of railroads that run them - as so many on this 
list have said before.  I never thought I would ever say I missed seeing a 
Conrail GP40-2, but I do now!
