As far a "branchline" unit-train moves.......... Coal from Lisbon, OH to Ohio Edison at Niles occasionally moved in 100 car trains with F3/F7 A-B-B-A sets. Also, some coal in "mini-trains" moved from Lisbon to Niles and was left for pick-up and move to Standard Oil in Cleveland located on EL. Another real branchline move was the occasional (once a month) train from the P&S at Brockway for Niagara Mohawk at Dunkirk. While the Dunkirk Generating Station was (is) on the NYC, I believe that it was an EL customer through reciprocal switching agreements at Dunkirk for certain customers on EL/NYC/NKP. The train operated from Brockway to Carrollton on the Bradford Divn, on to Salamanca on the main line, and then west on the Dunkirk Branch to Dunkirk where there was a meet with a NYC crew.
