Re: (erielack) Coal, Iron Ore and Steel

Again while not in unit train lots, my consist sheets have revealed a couple
of sizeable moves into Buffalo. Steve or Jerry, can you help with the name
of the consignees?

RNMF-74 out of Marion on 11/3/75 with 45 loads of bituminous off the C&O at
Marion, evidently originated in WV and consigned to DON HAN COK in BFO

BR-100 out of Meadville on 2/23/76 with 27 loads of bituminous off the L&N
at Cincinnati (B&O haulage to Dayton), most likely from eastern KY and
consigned to ECO FUE SUP in BFO.

I believe there was often a sizeable pickup of Shawmut coal at Salamanca by
MF-74.

While not in the sense of providing unit trains, the EL delivered coal to
the following:

Ohio Edison's Mahoningside Station in Warren (closed about 1965 or so)
Ohio Edison's Niles Steam Station (coal moving from Lisbon, OH)
Ohio Edison's North Avenue Steam Station in Youngstown
Standard Oil's power plant in Cleveland
Jamestown City Light in Jamestown, NY.

I believe New York State Dept of Correction's Collins hospital/prison power
plant was served by EL (Jerry Heckman, can you assist on this?)
