That is true I suppose. I don't have anything against the newer units (although it is getting harder for me to easily tell the difference between a EMD & a GE, and don't even get me started on them fughly gensets). Here in Neenah we still get a pretty good variety of WC/CN stuff. Still blows my mind in a way to see an SD40-2 doing yardwork.

  The steam-era fans always groused that "all diesels look alike" too. I used to hear this at Railroadians meetings, in particular.

  And some of the young'ns out ther can spend lots of time telling you the differences among those 5 SDP70-whatevers on the point as the stack train goes by, not to metntion the differences in the stack wells.
