I really can't recall any excursions on the N&L Branch but Cal Banse  
indicated that there was one in May, 1951 that resulted in him obtaining an  
interview with the Division Superintendent and subsequently being hired by the  Erie 
(as stated in Trackside in the Rust Belt with Cal Banse by SMT, to be  released 
by Morning Sun Books June 1, 2008).
