OK,so I am painting up several Dash 9-44CW shells. (Pennsylvania RR, C&O pre-chessie, & the MP) all for sale.
I am also planning on painting one in EL GYM.
Before I do so, I am looking for a few opinions from here on a detail item or two.
The scheme I am going to use is Standard "Late' EL, with one exception. I am leaning towards using the wider stripe from the Trainmasters, vs. the thinner SD/GP/Hood unit stripe.
Any thoughts?
Also I am contemplating using the "Safety First" logo on the hood similar to how Conrail Safety schemes looked.
A subtle, one color stamp.
Would this be a stretch for the EL and more importantly, would Dash 9's have been purchased by Erie Lckawanna?
