Yes. Makes a cut and splice job nice and easy.

If all MUed on the head end of a train, you shouldn't
have any problem as long as everything is properly
maintained (ie clean wheels, proper electrical
contact, etc). However, I'd be a little hesitant to
intermix them if you're running say mid-train helpers
or rear-end helpers. Of course EL never did this so
you should be alright.

eBay or any Walthers dealer should be able to order
them with the correct part number. I've had good luck
ordering through Bob Tesunik at Rider's Hobby in Grand
Rapids MI. They are listed in the back of MR among
other magazines.

Not in Charlotte but Greensboro. Bob Harpe's annual
Southeastern Railway Prototype Modelers meet usually
held in Savannah was canceled this year so a group
moved the meet to Greensboro since a lot of people
already had taken the weekend off. Meet went well but
not nearly as well attended as the Savannah meet. I
manned both the Tangent Scale Models and Railflyer
Models booths. Both companies have outstanding
product lines for anyone who has not checked them out.
Tangent, by the way, has had several requests for EL
PS4740 covered hoppers. If y'all are interested in
seeing it done, I suggest you contact them with your
interest. Of course, photographs are always welcomed
for reference.
