RE: (erielack) Erie Cleveland modelers take note!

Here's a link to Cleveland State's Special Collections web page, the
Hulett's in particular. Most shots are of the Pennsy docks.

This link is also from the CSU Special Collections page and is a
transcription from a 1909 journal regarding the construction of the NYPANO
ore docks.

Some shots from George's page:

Huletts and Brown Hoist unloaders)

CSU showing the Hulett's and the older Brown Hoist unloaders from the
opposite angle)

Power house and parking around the docks from George's site:

A 1917 map showing a proposed realignment of the Cuyahoga, gives a good view
of the tracks around the river including the Erie's line from the docks
through Literary St. yard. Pennsy's ore dock was right on the lake so the
size of the boat didn't matter; Erie's docks were on the old mouth which was
sealed off so the boats had quite a turn down the "crooked river" to get
there.

These are also from CSU:

A boat being towed to the NYPANO docks - it is parallel with the power house
in this shot.

Erie Docks left middle with the boat in the channel, Hulett's can be made
out through some steam.

This next one gives a great view of the turns a boat had to make to get to
the dock and unload.

I think I'm finished now.
