All, One New Year's Eve I visited a former brother towerman and we broke the whistle at the stroke of Midnight one year during the 70's. Can't remember the year but I was with AL Brewster an extra towerman like me at UN Tower and we were blowing the interlocking Whistle celebrating the stroke of midnight and all of a sudden it got stuck for a few minutes then failed to sound again..
