(erielack) E-Burg and Pocono Summit Question.

I am in the process of more track work revisions for my layout and have two
questions.

At East Stroudsburg, in the early 70's there is a small siding coming off of
main track 3 on the north side between Analomink Street and Broad Street.
Going westbound it is a trailing point switch. There is a road which
parallels this track so there isn't any room there for a building. Was this
some sort of a team track? Bill Sheppard's track diagram book shows it in
place in the early 70's. Was it still used then?

Second question. At Pocono Summit, just east of the Summit Ave grade
crossing at the station, in some photos, I see a wooden platform next to the
track. There is a photo in EL in Color vol 5 on pg 67 which shows a
westbound train in 1964 passing this platform. What was this platform? It
isn't low level like a station platform, it does ramp up like a loading
platform. There are a total of 4 tracks there in the photo too. Cramers
siding and 3 others. I am guessing that the track at the platform is a
siding. The Sheppard track diagram book doesn't show it so I am assuming
that that all might be gone by the time I am modeling.

Thanks
Scott Lupia
