Todd, your impression about the pup trailers is correct. UPS acquired 26'6", 96" wide trailers from 1964-82, but these were highway-only. The 28' 102" wide pups acquired from 1983-90 were used extensively in intermodal service. Paul B Ah but Paul, I already have a couple dozen drop frame trailers in N! Some guy was resin casting them and selling them on EBay. I bought every 40' one I could lay my hands on. He also sells/sold the "pup" version as well but I didn't think they were appropriate for the era. I've never seen a period photo of one anyhow. I was just wondering about another source for us N scalers. I plan on getting a bunch of the rib sided trailers as well. Thanks for all the advice, much appreciated. Todd K.
