Having been swamped with customer demos all week here at the office, I haven't had the chance to discuss the photo, and I thank Dr. Paul for picking up the slack for me. :) This is actually my favorite shot in the calendar - nice and sharp, with very clean units, sunshine and snow! Of note is that the trailing U33C has the as-delivered Roman cab numbers, an anomaly that was unique to the second batch of U33Cs, but give the units a kinda "classy" look. I'm also a big fan of the black cab roof, and I feel that "black cap" is the finishing touch on a splendid paint scheme. The "budget" gray roof didn't have the same appeal to me (although I thought the GP7s, which all (with only one exception, if memory serves me) has gray roofs, and I liked 'em) Also note the covered hopper right behind the power, and the short-lived snowshield on the GP35.... - Paul > This month we have an interesting angle on TC-4 climbing Gulf > Summit in Feb 1970 at a spot which evidently was popular with > photographers.
