This is true, but I would also add that the State of NJ was also a culprit for ALLOWING Conrail to tear up the tracks!! I believe one track in Pa. was kept between Analomink/Cresco and Scranton and between East Stroudsburg and Analomink because a PA authority or the counties owned them, which prevented Conrail from tearing it up.
