Bob Bahrs] Within my range of hearing, no crew member mentioned this ending that was right around the corner. But my wife and I sat behind a delightful couple neither of whom belonged to the ELHS. He was an old-timer who had worked the line for many a year and had come up to ride the ELHS special for nostalgic reasons -- because he heard that operations were about to cease. So the word was out, I surmise, to some people.
