From what I've read elsewhere, the Amtrak equipment was promised for display in Scranton.  Amtrak was having difficulties in arranging for CP and NS crews to ferry the equipment to Scranton so Mr. Levin agreed to bring (drag along) the equipment to Scranton with his train.
