Ed, that's a very good question, but are you sure about the train being on the EB main (which would make this a WB train)? Is that not MT Tammany in the background, which would make ths an EB train on the WB main? In any event, assuming the photo caption is correct, there must have been a short segment of double track or siding retained after the single-tracking of the late 50's and removed early in the EL years.
