I lived in Boonton from 1958 to 1978. I saw a lot of changes over the years. From Trainmasters to SD45-2s. I remember those Tri State meetings at Dover station and at the Mennon building. When I was in Boonton High school in the 1970's. A neighbor gave me a Xerox copy of the Boonton station taken from Main St. bridge looking east over the station. In this picture is four tracks and a signal bridge with modern type signals for that time, and Drew Chemical in the background. The copy of the picture that was given me was from what I was told the Boonton Times or some local newspaper from that time period. My neighbor found it I believe at the Holmes Library. He knew I liked trains so he gave it to me. I have attached a copy of the picture. It's not real good because it was scanned by one of those liquid toner Xerox copiers and after years go by the copies fade. Can anyone give some more input to this picture or have a better copy of it? Thank You, Ed Wheeler ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org To Unsubscribe: http://lists.elhts.org/erielackunsub.html ------------------------------
