Ken, While you're going up that way you might as well make Central Valley your first stop -- unless you want to check out NJ (Newburgh Jct.) . That's easy enough to find; just look for the Metro North Harriman station right off Route 17 (follow the signs). Tower long gone, but you can see the ROW of where the Main Line came in. As for Central Valley, as you drive north on Rt 32, you'll come to a 4-way intersection as you come into town. It had a blinker, but I think its a traffic light now. go past that to the next intersection which just has a street coming in from the right. Make the right turn -- it will take you over to the tracks (on a fill) with a car underpass. Don't go through the underpass, but make a right You'll see the freight station, and as I said, I'm fairly sure the private home just west of it was the passenger station.
