re the TV show on RFD. The local community college here in Brevard
County, Fl. has its own TV channel on cable. I don't watch it too much, tho.
MY BAD!! A few months ago I happened to be tuned to the channel in the
late afternoon and here was a MOVIE - in color - of a train on the former
Colorado Midland (abandoned 1919). It must have been in the 1930s when the
tracks on the east end of this fabled RR were being used by the Midland
Terminal RR and it had a couple shots of trains crossing the famous trestle
near Colorado Springs. I called the school, but some young woman answered
the phone and 'she didn't know anything about trains'.
It was like when I bought the tape GLORY DAYS from HERRON VIDEOs and
was rewarded with a long segment at Slateford showing action at the Delaware
river bridge ALL STEAM and they were rolling those trains. there was other
great DL&W content too.
