I am pleased to report the the Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation
Society has been named to the Top 50 project list by American Express for
their Members Project initiative.  The winning project will be awarded up to
$5 million to complete their project - in our case, recreating the long
distance passenger train experience with a focus on dinner in the diner as
it was on the Erie Lackawanna in the early 1960's.

Now we need your help.  Voting has begun to select the Top 25 projects.  If
you have any American Express cards (including Optima, Blue, etc.), please
go to http://www.membersproject.com then register (or log in if you have
already registered), scroll through the list of projects until you see
"Railroad Dining Car Restoration Project", then vote.  You can also leave a
comment for our project to encourage others to vote for us.

Needless to say, our project is the only one among the top 50 dedicated to
railroad preservation.  Please take the time to vote and please pass this
message along to everyone you know and encourage them to vote for us as
well.
