The recent "Off topic" about the Thomas recall may not be off topic at all. Do we know if OUR toys from China have leaded paint? Am I in danger if I grind on a painted model, or spray an undec? On another hand, I've never been sure that the dangers of lead in paint haven't been overstated. Sure -- it's bad if you eat it. So, don't eat it. I mean, I'm 75 and grew up around lead-based paint and leaded gasoline, and look at me now. Well, maybe that's not a good argument . . . But what impact did the paint have on real railroads' employees? And what impact came from the ban?
