Two items left out of the previous posting re Erie yellow: - - In preparing an ex-Erie SW for repainting, the sanding down revealed that the Erie painted the yellow first, then masked and oversprayed the black. - - I myself was driving through Suffern several years ago, not know about Jimmy Wilson's project, and saw the finished RS-3 sitting under the Thruway bridge. I just got the nostalgic eebee-jeebies, suddenly seeing that ghost of the old Erie looking so magnificent in its new paint...and on Erie tracks, no less!!
