Kind of OT but definitely railfan and rail Given the huge amount of misinformation and outright falsehoods in the program, there's probably a secret tunnel with a secret track running between the Penn Station and GCT <g>. We'll wait for Part II to hear about that. MN has taken tour groups down to the power station many times -- most recently for the 100th anniversary of electrification -- but the SIA and others have been down there as well. They did not show where the LIRR station will be -- because even the entrance won't be where there are current tracks. The speculation on MNCX and Waldorf Station was all hooey as well -- there have actually been fan trips that went to the W-A platform! >tunnels in the Meadowlands. However the connection from NJ to GCT seems a >lot less obvious. Was there some kind of routing via the CNJ or B&O through >Staten Island and somehow circuitously through Brooklyn and Queens, over >Hell Gate or Spuyten Duyvil then south on the NY Central through Manhattan? But the DC-GCT trips went via NYP and Hell Gate to New Rochelle Jct or in a few cases, via Port Morris. Ditto to Hyde Park, except when via the L&HR to visit his girlfriend.
