Not sure if it has been mentioned here (if it has, sorry, I missed it) but
the latest issue of Model Railroader (July) has a great Erie related
article. Seems ELHS member Stan Sweatt won the magazine's Layout Planning
Contest by drawing up a track plan for a fictitious Erie industrial branch.
A jam packed plan for a 9x11 space with a ton of operating potential. Not
sure if he subscribes to the list, but congrats Stan!

PS - There is a great picture in the article of an ore train be pulled off
the docks in Cleveland. Looks like the era is Erie vintage with an RS3 and
three 4 axle Baldwins lugging it up the grade from Lake Erie.
