Hohman Ave tower is still standing (as of Fall 2006). It is inactive and a  
local group is attempting to preserve it, but has not found enough money (for a 
 new home and moving expense).
 
As for the EL row through town, betw State and Sibley, the Hammond Transit  
Center serves as a transfer point betw Hammond Transit, Gary Public Transit  
and PACE (Chicago suburban bus transit).
