From lister Mike Dodge... now you see how anemic Port Morris yard
became!
In following the recent discussion of the Port Morris
yard after 1963, I recalled this photo I took 8/10/76.
Admittedly not a great shot, but it might give
an idea of the yard early in ConRail. The tower stands
about 100-150 yards behind me. The motive power was
ex-PC U30C 6538 and CR U36C 6587 (ex-EL 3316) in a
blue dip job (it only had the road number under the
cab applied). If you think it could be of use, go ahead.
