REPLY---- I never had the opportunity to ride the New Castle Local and I don't believe that I ever saw it operating but I did dispatch it hundreds of times. There were some tube mills and structural steel plants on the line, a water treatment plant at New Castle and there was an interchange with the B&O at New Castle.
