Members of the French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society, the Crawford County Historical Society, the Northwestern PA Tooling Association and the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau (I think that's everyone) have formed an organization with the goal of opening the Northwestern PA Railroad and Tooling Heritage Center. It will be a museum dedicated to the people who worked on the railroad and in the related tooling industries in and around Meadville. One of the major goals is to provide adequate facilities for the CCHS's Erie Railroad collection. I'm sure that, if the ELHS wanted, we could modify the design to include archives space for the ELHS collection. Just one more stick to throw on the fire.
