Paul and List I talked to Dave Huggins about the F-unit program. Dave indicated there was a proposal in 73' - 74' from Morrison-Knudsen to turn 20 F-Units into CF's. He didn't recall how close to duplicating the Santa Fe CF's the EL's would have been. The program died due financial woes of one or both parties, he didn't remember which. The candidate F-units had not been identified when the program collapsed. He also indicated he planned to put the CF's into a 1500 series. I didn't ask what numbers spcifically.
