Perhaps that's the issue here...that some view the Collection as their
personal property. If one does, then your analogy would seem reasonable.
Otherwise, with all due respect, it's a specious analogy.

Most of the restrictions listed in your letter can be overcome by a proper
gifting agreement.
Let us not write up so many restriction that the archives become trash
because no proper location can be found that will agree with them.
