RE: (erielack) ELHS collection



Another poster alluded to potential budget cuts resulting in the shut-down of Steamtown.  I have no knowledge to support or refute that conjecture (and certainly hope it never happens!), but what if it did happen?  What would happen to the Archives then?  As Government property would they be stored somewhere, inaccessible to the Society?  I like the idea of Steamtown holding and managing the Archives -- I think they would be in excellent hands; I just worry that giving ownership away could place our access to the collection at risk.
