I have repowered (and added weight to) several of these, turning them into
wonderful, quiet runners: some were mint, a couple were well-used. My own
take would be to grab one of these if they showed up anywhere, as long as
there was no evidence of damage and the price was not outrageous. The K-5s
make a handsome loco to pull Stillwells or through trains. And they show up
now very rarely.
