At the R&GV RR Museum at Industry, NY, (Erie Rochester Division), passenger
service was discontinued in 1941. The building was in use, presumably for a
freight agent and/or track gang, until it was abandoned in 1957. It was
sold to the Rochester Chapter NRHS in 1971, in derelict condition.

One other interesting policy was the reduction in the size of some of the
country depots. The Attica NY and Silver Springs NY depots were both
reduced by about 1/3 of their length, decades ago. And, perhaps because of
this, they have both survived and, last I knew, were still in use by NS.
