I rode the New York Mail from Buffalo DL&W Terminal to Scranton just before Christmas 1961, and returned on the Erie- Lackawanna Limited (arriving in deep snow trackside) in early January 1962. Later in 1962 and 1963 my trips used a new, small station built in the Erie Freight Yards. I cannot recall the the exact date of the closing, but I believe it was spring 1962. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ >From: "J.
