Interesting, Steve, because I remember in the 70s seeing D&H/LV lashups on
the D&H main through Scranton. Prior to 1976 they were pretty common. At the
same time on EL, is was mostly EL with very few foreign power units.

What made me wonder is that you hear a lot about "power sharing under
Dereco ownership," yet you don't see that many photos of D&H or N&W
units on EL trains in those years
Yup, and you don't see many photos of run through power on EL trains after
Dereco either! Seems that between late 1974 and the advent of Conrail
foreign
power/run through was almost nonexistant on EL lines!
Does anyone recall seeing any PC, RDG, LV or any other foreign power leading
or trailing EL trains from Croxton to Chicago during the later pre-conrail
years??
Thanks,
Steve
