Coming up on the next month, so flipping the EL calendar we find... A harshly-lit shot of the Phoebe Snow at Olean, NY - heavy shadows obscure the rear and vestibule end of the Tavern-Lounge car at the rear. Right behind it is a sleeper (looks like 10-5 "Spirit" or "Pride of Youngstown"), an former Erie 739-series heavyweight diner, and what looks like two ex-DL&W lightweight coaches. At the head end are two baggage cars. A neat "pike-sized passenger train" (to use Model Railroader's term). The rusty sidings in the immediate foreground are a bad sign for the EL's future in terms of local business. - Paul The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org To Unsubscribe: http://lists.elhts.org/erielackunsub.html ------------------------------
