I did a very similar procedure as I was more interested in having the cars operational. One added factor to consider. These cars have very poor operational trucks. Its more like having your engines pulling sleds. I invested in the Intermountain roller bearing wheels, an investment that, for these older NKP Products cars is most worth it. They now roll along the track quite freely! Another thing I have been considering, but have not done as yet: I believe the diners were the only cars that actually had RB trucks (obtained from the C&O IIRC). I have been considering replacing the trucks on the coaches with the appropriate BCW friction bearing trucks. Has anyone done this?? Am I correct concerning the bearings on the trucks for these different cars? - -------------- Original message -------------- From: Vincent Lee <vincejlee_@_yahoo.com> > Rick Fleischer wrote: > > "Several years ago I bought the coach and the milk car set. > I'd been looking for the diner for a long time and found > one at a flea market last year.
