Which raises another question...did the EL ever experiment with FREDs (EL content) or was that technology a few years off at that point?" There are people on the list who answer that question better than I can. We all know that we don't see cabooses on freights any more. That NS drill that just went by me eastbound a few minutes ago is an exception.
