This looks like the Port Morris runaway: http://www.geocities.com/transit383/wrecks3.html November 2, 1966 Phillipsburg Drill parked at Port Morris. The crew left the train unattended while going to lunch, and somehow it broke loose, eventually accelerating to over 60 miles per hour and it crashed head on into a 4 car electric train at Dover station, killing the engineer. A GP 7 and an RS 3 were involved. The lead GP 7 survived, while the RS 3 flew over the wreckage and was later scrapped. > From: "Kent Loudon" <nkloudon_@_verizon.net> > Date: Mon, 1 Jan 2007 19:26:50 -0500 > > Can anyone provide details of this: > > http://cgi.ebay.com:80/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180069926450 Gary R.
