I know of a couple of case where the owner of the photos and movie footage will not let them be used as they had bad experiences with one or more commercial enterprises. One person who I was told I know has some rare color movies of one of my favorite roads. He once allowed some of his other material to be used and it got damaged. The person related this incident to me was asked by the photo ownernot to reveal his name even though we both know each other. Then there are cases like mine where I have lots of shots but just don't have the time to dig through everything. Regrettably, my collection is not well organized nor catalogued so the task of finding something is even more daunting. The couple of times I did "unearth the treasures" it took for ever.
