Re: (erielack) Another "WOW!" shot from John Dziobko...

There's a guy by me named Bill Caloroso. He sells reprints of railroad
scenes under the name "Cal's Classics". He's got tons of Erie, DL&W, and EL
reprints in the binders he takes to train shows. I assume he bought
collections. I believe he has the rights to them, so we won't likely be
seeing any of these scenes online anytime soon, but at least we know that
these prints are being shared through his business, so they won't be lost.
I've got several of his prints on my wall at work, and some more stashed
away at home that I rotate into the frames at work from time to time, along
with reprints from other dealers.
One picture on my wall at work is of the Vestal, NY station. Our
receptionist noticed it and said it looked like the museum in Vestal. I
explained that it had been moved from the former line about 1/2 mile and
turned into the museum after the tracks had gone out of service. I explained
to her (a 50-something life-long Endicott resident) that there used to be
trains where the present day "rail trail" is located. She looked at me and
said, and I swear I'm not making this up, "I always wondered why they call
it the rail trail". Duh.....
