I've always wondered this myself. I fear there are some great shots that are simply going to get tossed in the trash by family members after the photographers pass away, because they don't know what they have.
Of course, there is the alternative - some people might realize that these images might be worth something to someone, and they might put them up on eBay. I've already noticed this is starting to happen...
