Without locating a copy of Taber, when was the triple track installed. 2. Was there any recent thought of extending the triple track to Summit, especially when the electrification was redone? 3. Could not the line run almost as efficiently with 2 tracks? Ws any thought given to eliminating the third track when redoing the electrification? In response to no 3, Just look at the time tables over the last 50 years. The locals and expresses could not be run with just two tracks. During rush hour trains in the same direction pass each other everyday, since the third track was laid.
