Gene Paul Norris

MARION - Gene Paul Norris, age 77, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 
2006, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 21, 1929, in Marion, to the late Arthur B. and Laura G. (Mahoney) 
Norris, Gene retired from Erie Lackawanna-Conrail Railroad as a dispatcher 
for 42 years.

On Feb. 28, 1950, Gene married Joan Lou (Boyd) Norris and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Gregory P. (Pamela) Norris of Rosewell, Ga., 
and Mark S. (Kathy) Norris of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, six 
great-grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Jake Cooney.
Preceding Gene in death were two brothers, Don and Steve Norris, and one 
sister, Patricia Ann Cooney.
Gene was a member of St. Mary Church and Knights of Columbus Council 671.
There will be no public visitation. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary 
Church Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father Michael 
Nimocks officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery. Gunder/Hall & 
Folk Funeral Directors are handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Vincent dePaul or American Cancer 
Society.
