Our museum several years ago had a large volume of old newspaper clippings
donated to it. I pasted up 1960.

Attached are four clippings on the E-L merger. These are written with a Buffalo
slant. One item I didn't realize was that the E-L's new color scheme was 
unveiled in Buffalo with a grey boxcar with maroon lettering.
