What's remarkable to think about is that one of those cars carried Thomas

Yup, mine too! I remember my father taking me on them on various occasions
in 1983 and 84 right up to when they were retired...The sights, sounds, and
smells are still etched in my mind to this day! I remember watching the
rush hour at Maplewood and seeing the diamond shape window on the parlor
car speeding past me at 60 mph...I guess that was train #429 up to the
end??
Each car on the interior had its own unique color scheme with 5 different
kinds of seats including wicker!. I miss them!
