I don't know that having the train ahead of the Cutoff restoration is so 
sad. It is wonderful that we have the train at all!! I agree, though, that 
it is a testimony to political incompetence that a 1960's era train set can 
be fully restored ahead of the line it ran on, even when the ROW is more or 
less intact.

I'll give you this image, though, in honor of the EL anniversary: a pair of 
EL E units notching out from Slateford Jct, picking up speed as they 
approach Delaware River with the Lake Cities-I can hear the mellowness of 
the 567's rev as they blow past on their way to Blairstown... 1968?? or 
2008??
