I think the main thing Randy's objecting to is the fact that lengthy text keeps getting posted repeatedly. It's true you can scroll through it quickly in the digest, but it makes it difficult and time-consuming to go back and try to re-read a post. If you're replying to a lengthy post, EL content or not, please delete most of it in your reponse, it just takes seconds.
