Thanks to Mike Dodge for forwarding along these "just into Conrail" EL unit
shots at Port Morris. Mike's description is below.

Here are two photos I took of ex-EL locos early in the Conrail years.
The b&w shot was taken 8/10/76. The U36C (ex #3316) was in a pale blue dip
job with only the number applied. It was idling on the 3rd track just west
of the Port Morris tower and wascoupled to a PC U30C (#6538). After a west
bound departed over the cutoff (maybe CS99?), they drilled the few cars in
the yard. They hadn't left before I did, so I can't even guess where they
were going.
The color shot was taken March 5, 1977, which I think was a Saturday, of a
westbound leaving the cut by the Hopatcong station and entering the cutoff.
The lead unit was SD45 #6091 (ex-3626)and the 3rd unit was SDP45
#6667 (ex-3635). For the record the middle loco was U23B 2727, an ex-PC
unit.
Thank you,
Mike Dodge
